Ron Arad and Santiago Calatrava in Liège

This is the completion of two “iconic” buildings by Santiago Calatrava and Ron Arad. A massive sweeping roof with secondary surfaces raking out over the surroundings, it features the biomimicry and incessant repetition of structural elements that are their trademark. It’s a deeply impressive building, and clearly intends to inspire a similar awe in the visitor that the original massive train stations did 150 years ago.

The National Grand Theatre in Beijing by Jean Andreu

The exterior of the theater is a titanium accented glass dome that is completely surrounded by a man-made lake. It is said to look like an egg floating on water, or a water drop. It was designed as an iconic feature, something that would be immediately recognizable.

PUMA Store

Puma store in Los Angeles was built with only container blocks. A very creative design in my opinion!!!
